Job Description
Our client, a world leader in life sciences and diagnostics, is looking for a " Production Planner / Scheduler " based out of Tucson, AZ.
Duration : Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate : $27 / hr on W2
Responsibilities :
- Develop a working knowledge of assigned product lines and processes to ensure optimal master schedule stability, order creation, rescheduling, load leveling, etc.
- Performs production line planning to ensure on-time delivery. Define and maintain the production plan for all assigned bulk to kit materials, based on requirements (as identified in MRP), history and inventory positions using ERP / MRP system
- Facilitating phase-in / phase-out planning in case of material changes in a timely manner to prevent disruption of supply.
- Management of non-finished goods inventory, scrap risks, and achievement of KPIs.
- Manage products to meet companies financial inventory goals including inventory value, months on hand, and inventory write-offs.
- Analyze forecast and production data to determine the impact throughout the organization. Monitor orders against forecast, calculate forecast error and communicate to supply chain partners to drive review and correction to demand.
- Ensure the resulting planning recommendations are being followed on a routine basis and balance customer needs, material availability, plant capacity and inventory requirements.
- Monitor Production for completion of the schedule and work within Operations to improve where needed. Identify, negotiate and resolve conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order promising integrity.
