Job DescriptionOur client, leading leader in life sciences and diagnostics, is looking for Systems Engineer based out of Santa Clara, CA.Duration : Long Term Contract with a high possibility of extensionPay Rate : $60 / hr on W2Looking for a motivated and team-oriented individual who is passionate about next generation sequencing technology. The chosen candidate will become an expert on the operation, theory, and data analysis from the new Single Molecule Sequencing platform. Drawing on experience in systems, biochemistry, electrochemistry, and / or materials science, the System Engineer will design and execute experiments on the sequencing platform and will help develop and analyze microfluidic device surfaces, interfaces, and processes. Analyze and succinctly present experimental results with actionable next steps identified related to the robustness of the microfluidic device and the system.Responsibilities : Accurately and consistently execute and record experimental methods, materials, and results.Become an expert on the operation of the High Throughput Sequencing Platform.Design, implement, and analyze sequencing results of various microfluidic device process changes and various operating parameters.Investigate, troubleshoot, conduct failure analysis, and perform device development in a fast-paced environment.Debug instrumentation, device, and software issues to create a robust platform.Understand and apply statistical methods, design of experiments, and / or process control monitoring techniques.Qualifications : 0-5 years applicable industry experience.
