Job Summary
The Facilities Services Worker is responsible for maintaining the appearance of the apartment community (s) to ensure a clean and safe environment for the residents. Duties include preparation and upkeep of apartments for market ready status, leasing office, amenities, grounds, building exteriors, parking lots and other community buildings of one or more multi-family residential apartments.
Responsibilities include: (but are not limited to)
• Upkeep of leasing office, amenities, grounds, building exteriors, parking lots and other community buildings on a daily basis
• Assists in the preparation of market ready units during turnover periods, including cleaning as well as removing trash from vacant and/or model apartments (trash outs)
• Identifies and reports maintenance and appearance concerns for repairs or upkeep on apartments, models, garages, clubhouse and/or other common areas
• Ensures proper inventory control and upkeep of cleaning equipment and supplies
• Maintains and cleans apartment community pool (s)
• Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
• 1-3 years’ experience in housekeeping preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of and ability to operate cleaning equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with managers, co-workers, vendors and residents sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give or receive work direction
• Attention to detail and quality control under timelines
• Initiative to identify and to positively solve problems within established processes
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to be at work regularly and on time
Must have valid driver’s license & acceptable driving record
Reliable transportation required
Ability to work weekends or extended hours as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-
• Constant need to be on feet; bend, stoop, squat; climb stairs, push or pull, reach above shoulder, climb ladders, grasp/grip/turning; finger dexterity; writing; shoveling; lifting/carry in the performance of duties
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
