What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Remodel & General Construction Laborer position at Dawn Homes Management, LLC?
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of work sites by setting up equipment and materials.
- Perform demolition work.
- Aid in framing and structural modifications.
- Assist with any necessary electrical and plumbing repairs or modifications.
- Assist with drywall installation, including cutting, hanging, and mudding.
- Assist with installation of doors, trim, cabinets & countertops, fixtures & appliances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- General Knowledge, Experience, or Expertise with Demo, Framing, Drywall, Trim Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a small crew.
- Experience using most basic hand tools & power tools.
- Willingness to Learn from experienced tradespeople and actively seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge in interior & exterior remodeling techniques.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling & reaching.
Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and the use of a vehicle for work purposes.
Reliable transportation required.
Other Preferred Skills & Qualifications including but not limited to
- OSHA 10/30
- EPA Section 608
- Mold Remediation Certification
- Lead Safe Renovate Right
- Experience operating a plow truck
- Experience operating heavy equipment (Skid Steer, Mini Excavator)
Physical Requirements
- Constant need to be on feet; bend, stoop, squat; climb stairs, push or pull, reach above shoulder, climb ladders, grasp/grip/turning; finger dexterity; writing; shoveling; lifting/carrying to perform maintenance supervisor duties.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
