ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for Dishwashers to join the events team! As the dishwasher, you are directly responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment used for food preparation and service. You will ensure health and safety regulations are followed in accordance with hotel guidelines, as well as ensuring guest satisfaction during their stay.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Sort and rinse dishes, glassware, and utensils and load them into dishwashing machines or wash them by hand.
• Operate dishwashing machines to wash and rinse dishes, glassware, and flatware when necessary.
• Ensure dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized before returning them to the kitchen to be used.
• Remove and properly dispose of food scraps and garbage from kitchen areas.
• Assist in keeping all kitchen equipment and kitchen area clean, organized, and sanitary, including the walls, floors, and countertops.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Report any equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate staff member.
• Courteous and respectful communication with others.
• Able to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume kitchen.
• Be able to lift at least 40lbs without any assistance.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time without any assistance, as well as walk, kneel, bend, reach, kneel, touch, grab, hold.
• Be able to work in the kitchen for duration of shift.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• No prior experience required, but previous experience in a kitchen is preferred.
• Proven steady work history preferred.
• Be able to work flexible hours including but not limited to weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Must adhere to proper safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and date work environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well and as part of a team.
