ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for Prep cooks to join the team! As the Prep Cook, you are responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing ingredients and dishes for our restaurant. The Prep Cook plays a key role in the efficiency of the kitchen and guest satisfaction. As the Prep Cook, you will set up workstations with the necessary ingredients and equipment to create a fast and efficient kitchen environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to prepare dishes accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in preparation of ingredients for team, including washing, chopping, measuring and preparing them.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as grilling, baking, marinating, and frying.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work environment, including storage areas and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management, letting management know when any inventory is out of stock.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment for all employees and guests.
- Report any equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate staff member.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, including reach, bend, grab, hold, touch, kneel, and lift up to 40lbs without any assistance.
- Be able to use kitchen equipment.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
- Knowledge or food preparation and safety techniques.
- Strong kitchen knowledge and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Be able to stand for duration of shift and lift up to 40lbs.
- Have good communication skills and ability to work well and a part of a team.
- Flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Salary : $20 - $22
