What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard/Concession Attendant position at Dawson County Government?
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Athletic Director, lifeguards/concession attendants will be responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies, clean up, selling concessions, securing money, inventorying concessions sold or needed, daily concession stand cleaning, and other related assignments. Applicants must be willing to work nights and weekends and work well with the public.
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. Applicants must be proficient in swimming, and have the knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work. Applicants must possess or have the ability to obtain the American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid certification and the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification. Applicant must have the ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and possess skills in oral and written communication. Applicants must have possession of or the ability to readily obtain a driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); and/or has means to ensure transportation to and from work area for scheduled work hours. Applicants must be willing to work nights and weekends and work well with the public. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screening.
