What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor (Returning) position at Dawson School?

Several camp counselor positions are available at Dawson. The application process includes the submission of an online application (www.dawsonschool.org) and a list of references. All positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. First consideration deadline for employment applications is April 1, 2025. Positions will remain open after that date until filled.
Note: You must be 16 years of age by the start of camp to be eligible to apply.
Expectations:
- Summer Camp Dates: June 2 - July 25, 2025
- Commitment: the ability to work a minimum of 2 weeks (not necessarily consecutive)
- Work Hours: 8:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Camp day starts promptly at 8:30 a.m.
- Must attend the mandatory staff meeting on May 30, 2025.
- Must complete all summer camp student safety requirements and child protection licensing requirements, including Introduction to CPR and First Aid
The hourly salary for this position is $16.57 per hour. Summer Camp Counselors are temporary positions and not eligible for benefits.
