Position: Project Controls Analyst I
Location: Any Corporate Office or Field Site
Supervisor: Manager, Project Controls
Business Group: DZMC
Business Unit: All DZMC Business Units
Position Summary:
This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with minimal experience or those transitioning from other functional areas. Under general supervision, the individual performs routine aspects of scheduling, cost analysis, scope control tracking, and reporting. With additional experience within one specialty, the individual is expected to participate in larger and more complex project controls assignments.
Principal Accountabilities:
(10%) Gain exposure to all aspects of cost control, including craft/staff rate development, procedural studies, SAP exercises, and cost report development. Gain experience with proprietary software such as PC Lite, D&Z Estimator, Win Estimator, and Web Tool Box.
(30%) After completing training, support WBS development, budget creation, and other SAP-related tasks.
(10%) Assist in developing Project Status Reports, field site Load Boards, and Web Tool Box cost reports.
(30%) Aid in financial management tasks, including budget execution, invoice milestone tracking, timesheet reviews, earned value analysis, and cost monitoring/forecasting.
(10%) Support project definition and close-out processes.
(10%) Gain exposure to scheduling fundamentals to assist in-house and field activities.
All responsibilities must be performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including the Company’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
Key Relationships:
Internal interactions with Clients, Directors of Operations, Site Managers, Project Managers, and other functional departments.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma required; some college or post-secondary education preferred.
Experience: Entry-level to three years of related project controls experience.
Certifications: Computer proficiency certifications are a plus or equivalent education.
Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational abilities.
Ability to multi-task efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong planning and prioritization skills.

Compensation & Benefits:
In compliance with state pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $66,000 – $193,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offers may vary based on experience, geographic location, and other factors.
