What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Camp - Archery Instructor position at Day Camps @ The J?
Day Camps @ The J is looking for a summer Archery Instructor! No previous archery experience is needed. The instructor will be responsible for teaching archery skills to participants of all ages and skill levels in a safe, fun, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead archery lessons, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Teach proper archery techniques, including stance, aiming, and shooting.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed, including range safety and equipment checks.
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to help participants improve.
- Set up and maintain archery equipment, including bows, arrows, targets, and safety gear.
- Supervise archery sessions, enforcing safety rules and addressing any concerns.
- Encourage a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with camp activities, competitions, or special events as needed.
Ideal Candidate is
- Upperclassmen or graduated from college
- Pays close attention to details
- Enjoys working with children
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Previous camp experience preferred!
- Must be 18
- Camp will cover the cost of your training
