Assistant Director - Child Care Center
Our rapidly growing school is looking for a dedicated Assistant Director to oversee the day-to-day care and education of children. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional professional conduct, a commitment to educational development, and ensure the safety and welfare of both children and staff.
Qualifications:
- Ability to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the center meets or exceeds Texas Minimum Standards and maintains current permits and licenses.
- Conduct tours for prospective parents, assist with enrolling new families, and contribute to meeting the Center's enrollment goals.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual, organized, personable, reliable, and hardworking.
- Proven professional experience in early childhood administration and prior classroom experience.
- Familiarity with Texas Minimum Standard Requirements.
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
- Food Handler License/Certificate.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Actively increase enrollment through tours, marketing, and outreach.
- Assist with enrollment inquiries, follow-up, and Center tours to support increased enrollment.
- Recognize parental concerns, evaluate the course of action, and respond professionally to parents’ needs.
- Manage staffing issues, including handling staff paperwork and parent communications (as needed).
- Assist with staff scheduling, recruitment, interviews, and the hiring process.
- Oversee daily operations of the center, conducting regular classroom visits.
- Ensure classrooms are following the curriculum and maintaining high standards of care.
- Create employee schedules and coordinate scheduled activities.
- Assists in the management of the center to ensure effective and cost-conscious operation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws standards and operating procedures.
- Assume full responsibility for Center management in the Director’s absence.
Preferred:
- 3 years of experience managing a licensed child care center.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.25 per hour
