Job Summary
The Multi-Specialty Medical Biller (CSR) is responsible for providing billing and coding support to both practices and patients in addition to excellent customer service. This includes answering customer and provider calls and questions, making and receiving calls from insurance companies and attending to all aspects of self pay collections. This position deals with issues or problems that often require thoughtful reasoning before arriving at approaches or solutions. Some independent thought, planning or origination of options and solutions is required. The individual must have the ability to apply principles of reasoning and problem solving to resolve practical problems. Education:
High School Diploma and 5 (five) years of Medical Billing and accounts resolutions experience OR Associates degree with 2 (two) years of relevant experience required.
Strong working experience in Medical Terminology is REQUIRED
Associates degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 2 (two) years of Medical Billing experience REQUIRED.
ICD-10 and CPT coding experience REQUIRED.
CPC-A certification will be considered in lieu of experience.
Microsoft Office experience REQUIRED.
Experience in Athena a plus but not required.
