Job Overview
Join our dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing team, where efficiency and operational excellence are critical. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Operator to ensure the smooth running of our manufacturing equipment and facility.
We are looking for a self-reliant Maintenance Operator to manage all aspects of maintenance for both our manufacturing machinery and building infrastructure. As the sole person responsible for maintenance, you will need to diagnose issues quickly, perform routine inspections, and take a hands-on approach to repairs and upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and other emergency maintenance needs.
- Repair and maintain production equipment (e.g., conveyors, motors, electrical systems).
- Ensure that the building’s infrastructure (plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems) remains in good condition.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Work closely with production staff to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations.
- Order and maintain an inventory of essential maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate with external vendors when specialized services are required.
- Implement and manage a preventative maintenance program.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance, especially regarding Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment such as PLCs, pneumatics, and conveyors.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills for facility maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in industrial maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor as required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call availability for emergency repairs.
