We offer a wide range of counseling services, including individual counseling, couples counseling, family therapy, and more. Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each of our consumers. We take a holistic approach to counseling, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. Our counselors are trained in a variety of evidence-based techniques and therapies to help our consumers achieve optimal mental health.

The Individual Skill Developer (ISD) is responsible for administering services which include training in communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, decision-making, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and other specific needs identified in the consumer's service plan.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Services include training in daily living skills related to personal care, household tasks, financial management, transportation, shopping, parenting, accessing and connecting to community resources and services (including health care services).
  • Other specific daily living needs are included identified in the member’s service plan.
  • Services provided to minors should also focus on improving integration into and interaction with the minor’s family, school, community, and other social networks.
  • Services include assisting the minor’s family in gaining skills to assist the minor with individual skill development and enhancement.
  • Services that are designed to support the family must be directly related to the assessed needs of the minor. Skill training may be provided by various methods, including but not limited to modeling, monitoring, mentoring, supervision, assistance, and cuing.
  • Skill training may be provided individually or in a group setting.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services related field
  • 2-5 years experience in a mental health setting
  • Considerable knowledge of the techniques and principles of child and family development, family systems theory, individual, family, and group interventions.
  • Considerable knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effecting working relationships with consumers and colleagues.
  • Be self-aware of individual biases, experiences and limitations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with to interact with consumers in a professional and compassionate manner
  • High level of compassion, integrity, efficiency and confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities, be detail oriented and have strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible and function in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment in dealing with sensitive information and demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information and understanding of HIPAA requirements.
