What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Crew/Shelf Stocker (PT) position at Day's Market?
Freight Crew members unload products from the pallets and displays as they arrive to our store from the warehouse. Once unloaded, products will be stocked to the shelf. Rotating the product is a must in order to maintain freshness and minimize spoilage. Deliveries arrive three times a week. Must be available Tues, Thurs, Saturday mornings from 5 am to 10 am. Some days the shift may be longer, but typically it's about 5 hours per day (typical work week will be around 15 hours).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Is capable of and maintains proper methods of product handling, case cutting, rotation and display of merchandise.
- Follows through and achieves all company policies, programs and directives that apply to stocking operations.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, etc.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be aware of store needs and follow safety precautions.
- Must learn where products are located in the store.
