Field Technician needed for a remote, contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work in Auburn, WA.
Job Description :
Our client is seeking a Field Technician to support multiple programs / systems and who can perform installation and maintenance on a variety of Networking and Telecommunication equipment at customer locations. Position is based in the immediate Auburn area. Working from your home until you get a dispatch ticket, occasionally reporting to a facility located in Auburn WA.
Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support for each specific program / system (FTI, MS, ADSB, DCNS, WMSS and others) supports for the FAA.
- Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment at the customers remote locations.
- Able to work remotely in a scheduled and on-call capacity to various customer locations within your assigned area. Occasionally travel to remote sites outside your assigned area may be needed from time to time to assist with the FAA customer needs and / or request.
- Able to read / understand / follow equipment drawings and task orders.
- Possess good admin skills (taking notes and documenting what transpired while working at the customer location).
- Work directly with the NOCC, the SAC, and the Helpdesk over the phone on resolving issues in the field.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, parts / electronics, truck stock inventory and personal or company vehicle.
- Be proactive and prepared for assigned tasks prior to dispatching.
- Able to work outside regularly scheduled hours (on-call) when / if needed to meet customer's needs.
- Lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10ft.
- Work with your supervisor (ASL) to ensure all policies / procedures and program specific policies / procedures are followed.
- Obtain and maintain a DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and / or local US State REAL ID equivalent and a satisfactory driving record.
