Systems Analyst needed for a contract to hire opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Washington D.C.
Job description :
The ideal candidate should be proficient in understanding the Software Development Lifecycle and the supporting software necessary to perform change management. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in the area of technical requirement gathering and analysis. The ideal candidate will support our clients, providing strategic guidance in support of new applications or the enhancement of existing applications to facilitate the implementation of solutions using standard methods, best practices, techniques, and tools applicable to requirements analysis. The candidate will analyze client requirements and assist with developing recommendations for system solutions through development, system improvements, and operational optimizations. Assignments range in complexity from basic analysis and problem solving to developing recommendations for complete business solutions or technical applications.
Responsibilities :
- Investigates, analyzes and resolves routine and advanced problems in selected functional areas.
- Assesses gathers and evaluates client application requirements.
- Performs benchmark needs analysis and requirements definitions in selected functional areas.
- Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and maintains a variety of client environments or solutions.
- With supervision from more senior analysts and managers, handle portions of larger projects, including data development, analysis, first draft written communications and client interaction.
- Begins to develop depth in one area of specialization (e.g., solutions specialization, architectural design, etc.).
- Coordinates work with developers, testers, operations, engineers, and clients, as required.
- Writes technical documentation - completes portions of analysis sheets (requirements gathering), prepares packaged presentations, and conducts application demonstrations.
- Supports clients by designing, customizing, delivering solutions, training, and giving technical presentations.
- Suggests components for the basic system integration of products and services in selected functional areas.
- Writes specification documents for solutions and enhancements to applications or systems within the program.
- Suggests changes to database design that support the proposed solution.
- Performs database queries to troubleshoot problems.
