Salary : $22.00 - 25.00 per hour
Brief Job Description : DBIS is a not-for-profit agency located in New York City that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. The Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) is responsible for planning and implementing person-centered Behavior Support Plans. In addition, the Behavior Intervention Specialist works hands-on to redirect maladaptive behaviors, assist in crisis management, and provide individual counseling.
- Planning, coordination, and implementing Behavior Support Plans
- Train and supervise Team Leaders & Direct Support Professionals in implementing Behavior Support Plans.
- Ensuring accurate data collection, Reviewing ABC sheets, and assessing trends
- Conduct behavior review meetings, document, and disseminate results.
- Maintain open communication with the program, clinical and administrative staff.
