The CHOC Specialists is seeking full-time Pediatric Hospitalists to join our well-established team. Candidates must be eligible for a CA Medical License and be board certified / board eligible in Pediatrics. Completion of a fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine or post-residency experience in inpatient pediatric care is preferred, but not required. We are seeking independent physicians who enjoy a career in pediatric hospital medicine, resident teaching, and have the desire to contribute to enhancing the quality of care for children in a community hospital setting. Hospitalists will provide day and night coverage, both with residents and on our attending-only teams. Responsibilities include providing quality care to pediatric medical and surgical patients from birth to young adulthood.
Our service is the primary inpatient pediatric teaching rotation for the UCI-CHOC residency program, which comprises 83 pediatric residents, UCI Family Practice, and the Kaiser Orange County family practice residencies. We are also a primary teaching location for the University of California, Irvine and Dartmouth Medical schools. We are a constantly growing program within a large, well-established group of 40 Hospitalists covering 3 locations. Opportunities in quality improvement, community outreach, resident education, and administrative activities are available and encouraged.
The Pediatric Subspecialty Faculty (PSF), a private pediatric subspecialty group contracted with the CHOC Medical Foundation, is composed of more than 450 physicians and advanced practice providers within 27 pediatric subspecialties.
