The Role
As an iOS Developer at Daylight, you'll play a crucial role in developing our mobile application that connects users with their distributed energy resources. You'll build intuitive interfaces that help homeowners monitor, control, and optimize their energy usage while participating in our decentralized energy network.
We're an early-stage startup, so this role goes beyond just writing code. You'll have significant input on architecture decisions, user experience, and product direction. As we scale, there will be opportunities to grow into a senior or leadership position, mentoring junior developers and shaping our mobile development strategy.

Responsibilities
- iOS Development
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality native iOS applications using Swift
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
- Implement clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage
- Technical Architecture
- Participate in architecture planning and technical design decisions
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement local data persistence and synchronization strategies
- Create reusable components that can be shared across the application
- User Experience
- Work closely with design team to implement beautiful, intuitive user interfaces
- Develop custom controls and animations to enhance user experience
- Implement real-time data visualization for energy metrics and analytics
- Ensure accessibility and support for various device sizes and orientations
- Create user interfaces that clearly communicate complex energy concepts
What we’re looking for
| Must Haves
- 3 years of experience developing native iOS applications with SwiftUI
- Strong understanding of iOS design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, and Core Animation
- Proficiency in writing clean, readable, and well-documented code
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and network request handling
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
- Knowledge of iOS performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines
- Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Experience with React, React Native, and Flutter
- Familiarity with crypto and related infrastructure, specifically EVM
