Pay Scale: $16-$17.50hr. for non-QP, $21.63-$23.07/hr for QP
Summary:
The Caiyalynn Burrell Child Crisis Center, located in Asheville, provides short-term (5-7 day) treatment and stabilization services in a safe, child-friendly setting for youth in crisis across Western North Carolina. Our aftercare coordinators are a vital part of our treatment team providing critical support to children ages 6 through 17. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting clinical staff with placement of clients in the appropriate facility as determined by their needs. Determines clients eligibility for requested facilities.
- Developing working relationships with residential facilities, foster care agencies, county Departments of Social Services, and outpatient providers to refer appropriate clients and secure placements.
- Facilitating referrals to Community Service Providers and making outpatient appointments for Daymark outpatient services.
- Maintaining spreadsheet for MCO of requested data regarding referral and placement of clients.
- Responsible for obtaining signed releases from the clients to allow the release of required information to the appropriate facilities/referrals.
- Participating in Child and Family Team meetings, and securing signatures for crisis and treatment plans from guardians.
- Requests re-authorizations from the MCO for clients staying longer than the initially authorized time, logging into the appropriate spreadsheets.
- Providing administrative and center support and customer service functions to the service site, including but not limited to scheduling, filing, documentation, client services, research and billing. Requires strict compliance with professional, legal and confidentiality standards, and Medicaid regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
Special Attributes: Must possess a good attitude, work well with others, have a strong commitment to patient care, understand office flow, understand budgeting and have knowledge of Mental Health, Social Work or Health Care Fields.
Supervisory Responsibilities: May be asked to periodically oversee staff or lead by the Practice Manager.
Education and/or Experience: Must possess at least a High School Diploma. Must have at least one year of experience working with children/adolescents in a human services field. Prefer Qualified Professional (QP) status.
