Pay Scale: $15-$18hr.
Summary:
Under indirect supervision of the MCM Program Director, and the MCM Admin Support Supervisor, this position will provide phone triage and dispatch for designated teams that provide Daymark Mobile Crisis Services. This position is expected to use critical thinking, problem-solving, counseling, and crisis intervention services in a high-intensity clinical environment. This position also requires a high degree of independent decision-making, excellent communication skills, and public relation skills in order to properly dispatch a Mobile Crisis clinician or triage the call itself.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides immediate telephonic response to calls from consumers, hospitals, DAYMARK Service Sites, professional healthcare offices, magistrate offices, jails, LMEs/MCOs, and answering services (i.e., within 15 minutes of receiving calls). Gathers information from calls received and responds appropriately. Maintains current status of the command center in terms of available staff, current calls and standing of all individual calls. Ensures timely dispatch of MCM clinical staff to appropriate service calls. Reports problematic behaviors to on-call administrative back-up and MCM program director. Phone communication and/or follow-up may also involve consultation with hospital staff, law enforcement, family members or support network as deemed necessary or clinically appropriate.
- Provide Mobile Crisis management follow up as needed to consumers who have received initial MCM services and require follow up to ensure they do not return to a state of crisis and are able to access appropriate non-crisis services.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field preferred, 2 years post-degree experience with adult MH population preferred. Prefer prior experience in providing crisis care in assertive outreach, assertive community treatment, emergency departments, inpatient units, or other services providing comprehensive emergency/crisis services.
