Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. Duties
- Supervise and manage housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to maintain cleanliness across all areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order supplies as needed while adhering to budget constraints.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and special requests.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding cleanliness in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules, inspections, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices, commercial cleaning techniques, and housekeeping management principles.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by operational needs.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members effectively.
- Familiarity with laundry operations is a plus; experience in hotel or hospitality settings is preferred.
