Position Overview: As a Front Desk Clerk at Days Inn and Suites, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction to all guests during their stay. You will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere and addressing their needs promptly and professionally. Your primary goal will be to create a positive and memorable experience for every guest, ensuring their comfort and assisting them with any inquiries or requests they may have.
Responsibilities:
Guest Check-in and Check-out: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, complete the check-in and check-out process efficiently, and accurately input guest information into the hotel management system. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to guests by promptly addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests in person, over the phone, or through email. Assist guests with directions, recommendations, and any other assistance they may need during their stay.
Reservation Management: Manage guest reservations accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all reservations are recorded correctly in the system. Assist guests with modifying or canceling their reservations as needed.
Room Assignments: Assign rooms to guests based on their preferences and availability, ensuring the smooth flow of check-ins and guest satisfaction. Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned and prepared in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or hospitality-related certification is a plus).
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or a front desk role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with hotel management software or reservation systems.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
