Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set and the ability to perform various maintenance and repair tasks in residential and commercial settings and have at least one year of experience in general maintenance and be able to perform a variety of repair tasks to keep our property in excellent condition.. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Utilize tools and equipment effectively, including an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting.
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify issues that need attention or repair.
- Respond promptly to service requests from clients, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Conduct general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC troubleshooting
- Perform carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs as needed
- Inspect the property regularly to identify and address potential issues
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel regulations
- Assist with emergency repairs when on-call
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of handyman/maintenance experience
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
- Must be available for on-call duties outside of regular hours
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools is essential.
- Knowledge of basic electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
