Head of Housekeeping

Job Summary
The Head Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and implementing effective housekeeping practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services, industrial cleaning, and hospitality management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote efficiency and high-quality service.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for all areas of the facility.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all items are stocked and maintained.
• Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the facility.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and supply usage.

Requirements

• Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of custodial practices, industrial cleaning techniques, and floor care procedures.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
