Night Auditor / Night Shift Associate
Position Overview:
As the Night Auditor at Days Inn, you will oversee nightly hotel operations, provide exceptional guest service, and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual who can handle overnight responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
- Greet guests upon arrival, handle late check-ins and early check-outs, and provide prompt, courteous service.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues during overnight hours.
- Monitor and ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests.
Night Audit Duties:
- Reconcile and balance daily financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments.
- Generate, review, and distribute nightly reports, including occupancy and revenue summaries.
- Post charges, such as room service and sundry purchases, to guest accounts accurately.
- Verify cash drawers and ensure proper bank deposits are prepared.
Operational Tasks:
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Perform light cleaning tasks in the lobby and public areas, as needed.
- Assist with setting up breakfast areas, ensuring readiness for morning guests.
- Address any maintenance or operational issues that arise during the night shift by coordinating with appropriate staff or vendors.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Previous experience in front desk, hospitality, or night audit roles is required.
Skills:
- Proficiency in SynXis property management system and basic accounting skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
Schedule & Compensation:
Schedule: Overnight shifts, typically from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays. During low occupancy or limited activity nights, you must remain on-site and be available for emergencies or calls, but active duties are minimal.
Compensation: The total compensation package includes a competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience. Accommodations are available if required. We encourage candidates who are seeking to relocate for a position that provides housing to apply.
