Starting Salary for Certified Teachers : $47,500
RESPONSIBILTIES
Duties of this position include but are not limited to :
Instructional Practice
- Assume personal responsibility for the academic progress of all students
- Implement a coherent, research-based curriculum based upon Florida standards and Core Knowledge content sequence that is documented with curriculum maps, unit plans, and daily lesson plans
- Document all syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, rubrics, and other instructional materials and methods
- Use consistent school-wide practices and individualized methods to engage students in the classroom Provide varied instructional techniques and opportunities through technology, individual practice and / or guided groups designed to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of students
Classroom Management
Create, monitor, and sustain a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standardsProvide structure in the classroom by developing and reinforcing school-wide rules and expectationsEnsure smooth operation of all classroom instructional functions without excuses or exceptionsTake all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilitiesData Analysis
Develop and use a variety of assessment data to refine curricula and instructional practiceEvaluate academic achievement through detailed data analysis of student performanceCollaborate vertically and horizontally with teaching teams across campuses to ensure student success across content areas and grade levelsStudent Support and School Culture

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the District School Board of Pasco County, per Florida statute 1012.465 and 1012.56.Bachelor's degree.Applicants must have a valid FLDOE teaching certificate or current Statement of Eligibility issued by FLDOE in the teaching field. Recent college graduates may apply without having either document, but will be required to apply for initial certification prior to being offered a position.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
