Dayspring Restoration is seeking a Mitigation Superintendent to join our Missoula, MT team.
The Mitigation Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations and collaborating with Project Managers on all water and mold mitigation projects. This role ensures that safety, quality, and mitigation standards are consistently met by leading and guiding the mitigation field team. In addition, the Mitigation Superintendent works closely with the Mitigation Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the full satisfaction of the client. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all water and mold mitigation projects from start to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, company protocols, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and lead the field team, ensuring high-quality work, efficiency, and timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify the proper setup and functioning of dehumidifiers, air movers, and other necessary equipment for mitigation.
- Monitor and review moisture levels to ensure they meet drying standards; verify the accuracy of daily job logs and moisture readings.
- Meet with clients, including homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters, to assess damage, scope projects, and explain the mitigation process.
- Collaborate with Mitigation Project Managers to provide clients with regular updates on project progress, changes, and final outcomes.
- Train and mentor mitigation technicians to ensure adherence to company standards and to promote continuous professional development.
- Participate in developing and maintaining production schedules to optimize workflow and ensure timely project completion.
- Ensure accurate completion of on-site job documentation, including sketches and DocuSketch scans.
- Complete and submit all mitigation-related documentation in a timely manner for review and approval.
- Regularly audit ongoing projects to verify compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
- Implement professional hand-off procedures for projects transitioning into the repair and reconstruction phase to ensure seamless continuity of service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in water damage mitigation and mold remediation, with a strong understanding of IICRC standards.
- Proven leadership experience in managing field teams and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in moisture mapping software, project management systems, and inventory tracking platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to emergency situations.
- Willingness to work a rotational on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
Preferred Skills:
- IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and/or Applied Structural Drying (ASD).
- Experience with industry-standard software (e.g., DASH, Moisture Mapper).
- Familiarity with the insurance claims process for property restoration.
Salary: $26.00-$32.00 plus overtime and on-call bonus
