The Preschool Department at Dayton Public SChools is currently recruiting for the temporary position of preschool application and screening support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of scheduling appointments for the application of students into the Dayton Public Schools preschool program.
- Ensures parents have provided all of the documents to meet the requirements of State Early Childhood Education grant and Dayton Public Schools Preschool Department.
- Serve as a liasion between the school district and the families of preschool children.
- Aids in the explanation of the preschool program goals.
- Assist students and families with applying to Dayton Public Schools preschools.
- Supports parents in the completion of forms and other documentation.
- Ability to learn quickly the significant facts in an individual or family situation.
- Ability to administer screening tool to 4-year old preschool children.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S.
- Solid comminicator both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of basis computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google products.
- Previous early childhood experience.
- Sound organizational skills.
- Effective time managment.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service.
- Self starte and highly motivated.
- Flexible and easily adapts to changes.
- Work will be in an office setting.
- Work may be subject to frequent interruptions.
- Some assignments are subject to completion within strict timelines.
