Job Summary:
To plan, organize, implement, and evaluate appropriate food programs within the area of assignment that guide and encourage students to enjoy good healthy food groups.
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma
Minimum Experience:
- Working with student 1-2 years
Required Licensure: N/A
Essential Functions:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Breakfast and Lunch
- Establish expectations for students
- Review and evaluate student breakfast and lunch to determine and align best practices in order to remediate, extend or enrich student health
- Collaborate with other DBTHS staff members to identify and address challenges of individual or small groups of students
- Maintain and submit, in timely fashion, accurate management records
- Provide guidance and advice to students on good and healthy food groups, further education, and career opportunities
- Implement PBIS
- Initiate, on a regular basis, positive interaction with parents or guardians of students
Other Responsibilities:
- Promote and assist, as needed, student use of cafeteria
- Attend and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance pedagogy and increase knowledge in food service area
- Plan, implement and complete all food service forms
- Participate in Teacher Evaluation System and classroom observations
Physical
Requirements:
- Stand, sit and walk on a frequent basis over an 5-hour period. Work can be modified to be performed in a sit or stand only basis during the workday.
- Fine motor skills required for use in pincher grasp and typing.
Working
Conditions:
- Work is generally indoors in a school setting.
