What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN in Neurology Office position at Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders?
DCND, Inc is looking to hire a full time triage LPN to join our practice, with their primary location to be in Centerville, OH. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p. This LPN will support a group of providers, and the responsibilities include but are not limited to answering patient phone calls in the clinical queue, triaging patient issues or questions and documenting chart notes accordingly, discussing patient care with physicians in person, through charting or other means, refilling prescriptions, reviewing physician orders, labs/test requests, and following up as needed, reporting adverse reactions to medication or treatments, reporting clinical lab values to physicians, providing patients and family education, completing FMLA, Disability, BMV paperwork as necessary, providing detailed correspondence and documentation for all patients/caregivers/providers, occasionally assisting providers with procedures (i.e. toxin treatments, lumbar punctures, punch biopsies, injections), providing patient education, but most importantly, providing excellent patient care.
It is important to understand that this position requires this individual to be sitting at a computer and on the phone for most of their shift. 99% of the day for a triage nurse is to handle all of the things for the patient once they have left the office. This practice has Medical Assistants that room and manage the flow of patients while in the office. The triage nurse will occasionally assist with injections, in person patient education, and sample management, but most often will be providing patients with excellent care after they have left the office.
PAY SCALE: The pay range for this position is $22.50/hr - $29.00/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
