Job Details
The CulinAIRY Kitchen cook prepares food made to order in front of the customer. Proper eye contact, facial expression, and ability to answer questions about the food being prepared is essential. The Cook must demonstrate safe food handling practices, prepare, and serve proper portion sizes and be able to multitask. Teamwork is expected.
The Patient Foods cook prepares patient food on demand according to the patient’s wishes but within the limits of their diet order. Following recipes and instructions with a high degree of accuracy is essential as any variation may impact the patient’s health. Knowledge of food allergies is required. The Cook works as a team with the Room Service Hostess and Runner to ensure that the patient’s meal experience is a positive one. The ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a team is essential.
The Production Cook prepares large quantities of food following a recipe. Proper knife skills and the ability to make timely judgments/decisions must be demonstrated. The Production Cook must have the ability to read a new recipe and follow the instructions and have the willingness to taste the food and suggest adjustments as needed. Proper presentation of the finished product is a priority.
