Who we are:
Dayton Dutch Lions FC is a pre-professional soccer club based in West Carrollton, OH playing our home matches at Dayton Outpatient Center Stadium. Our men's team competes in USL League 2 and our women's team competes in the WPSL. The club prides itself on being the “gateway to professional soccer” as many Alumni have gone on to be drafted by MLS clubs or have a career in European soccer including US Women's National Team star Rose Lavelle.
Operations Intern:
The Dayton Dutch Lions are seeking qualified candidates to assist in stadium operations of Dayton Outpatient Center Stadium as an Operations Intern. This position will assist the operations manager in stadium operations including field operations, ticketing, concessions, and marketing activations. They will also assist in pre and post game clean up of the stadium, as well as other Dutch Lions events. This summer internship program runs from May - Mid August, with all interns needing to be available for all DDL home games as well as a few off day events from time to time. The DDL staff is a smaller but hard working crew so the operations intern will be able to work in a lot of different areas with a high level of responsibility.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assist in the execution of game day stadium operations including set up & tear down for both mens and womens league games.
- Work with referees, away teams, and West Carrollton HS to provide anything they require on or before game days.
- Assist in stocking, preparing, and the presentation of the stadium and game field to be game ready
- Assist the DDL staff and players with any equipment needs
- Execute game day marketing activations
- Work with sponsors to make sure they have a VIP level experience when attending games.
- Assist with pre game with ticketing set up and any issues that may arise
- Knowledge of the game day run of show
- Fulfilling guest requests as they come up
- Able to fill in or assist with other game day staff roles, if needed
- Work occasional off day events such as youth camps and player appearances.
- Providing research assistance to director of operations for away game travel
Required Skills/Abilities:
- College student, or individual, pursuing facility management, event management sports and/or business operations, fan engagement or a related field.
- Prior experience in facility or event management operations
- Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time
- Strong time management skill and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and must be able to multitask and problem solve
- Comfortability working in a fast paced environment
- Must be willing to work long hours, early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Having a working knowledge of soccer is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
