Job Summary
The Assistant Service Center Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating all terminal operations and service activities, ensuring maximum performance and profit objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee terminal operations, ensuring efficient and economical routing and movement of customers' freight.
- Utilize the TEAM system for P&D and dock operations, as well as Trailer Utilization Report to maximize resource capabilities.
- Prepare and compile daily, weekly, and monthly production and service records, measuring conformance to terminal objectives.
- Maintain excellent communication with external and internal customers, providing exceptional service and support.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the LTL/Transportation Industry, including experience managing drivers and dock workers.
- Proven ability to manage a sales staff and develop and follow budgets.
- Experience managing a large LTL Service Center, with a focus on maximizing efficiency and profitability.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of employees.
