Overview:
At Dayton Freight, we strive to provide a positive and productive work environment for our P&D Drivers. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of commercial driving experience and possess a valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement.
Salary and Benefits:

Job Responsibilities:
- Transport freight in a safe and efficient manner between our Service Centers and customers
- Loading and unloading freight as needed
- Conducting pre and post trip inspections on tractors and trailers
- Maintaining accurate records of freight control processes
- Reading and understanding maps, road signs, shipping papers, and hazardous materials markings
- Affixing correct placards to tractors and trailers when necessary
- Maintaining cleanliness of company vehicles
- Assisting customers with shipping papers
- Safely operating a forklift to unload/load products when indicated
- Participating in training and improvement programs
- Being available for irregular work schedules and assignments
- Adhering to operational procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:
- At least 23 years of age
- Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card
- No DUI or reckless operation conviction in the past 3 years
- Less than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to pass a drug screen
