The Dayton House Resort is excited to hire a new maintenance technician for our resort! We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the condition and functionality of the premises. An individual that has open availability and able to cover all shifts when needed is preferred. A certification is not mandatory for this position, but is a plus. Due to the complex repairs that you may handle, we do prefer individuals that have one year experience, but it is not required.

This is a full time position with benefits. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC installations, repairing, etc. Your position will also be responsible for responding to repair requests. You will be able to work independently and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Promptly responds to front desk and housekeeping reports of guest repairs or problems, then inform personnel once action is complete
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)

Skills

• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

Job Requirements

• Lifting up to 50lbs frequently and 50-100lbs occasionally
• Regular ladder usage
• Frequent bending, twisting, turning, and standing
