What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Cast - 1st Shift - L4 position at Dayton-Phoenix Group, Inc.?
The position of Die Cast Operator will be responsible for building of rotor irons and set up/changeover of the die cast presses. In addition, the die cast operator will be required to fill, monitor, and maintain the aluminum alloy ovens as required
Essential qualifications for this position include:
Candidates must demonstrate during the trial period, the ability to perform the above listed responsibilities while producing quality parts, to print, at the routed rate and in a safe manner while maintaining accuracy of counts, and part numbers. The progress of any candidates selected for this posting shall be evaluated during the trial period to assure that the job requirements are being met.
Essential qualifications for this position include:
- Read and interpret detailed product and piece part drawings.
- Must be able to read a tape measure, Vernier Calipers, Micrometers and various measuring devices as required.
- Computer skills required (Shop-trak and Drawing Viewers)
- Must be able to safely handle molten aluminum
- Must be able to operate various die cast presses, drill press and hydraulic presses
- Must be able to work in hot environment
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
- Must be able to qualify for operating a forklift and/or hand truck
- Must be able to safely operate grieve ovens
- Must maintain 5S in work area
- May be required to cross train on various pieces of equipment, including but not limited to, Broach, Lathes, Grieve ovens and various hand tools.
