What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler - 1st Shift - L3 position at Dayton-Phoenix Group, Inc.?
The position of Material Handler will facilitate material moves, and transactions for the Dayton facility. This will include moving materials within the racks, hand pick, and market locations, within departments and throughout the plant, loading and unloading trucks, and additional material related tasks assigned by supervisor.
Essential qualifications for this position include:
Candidates must demonstrate, during the trial period, the ability to perform the above-listed responsibilities in a safe and timely manner while maintaining accuracy of counts, and part numbers. The progress of any candidates selected for this posting shall be evaluated during the trial period to assure that the job requirements are being met.
Essential qualifications for this position include:
- Sit down Fork Truck certified within 30 days of taking position. Expectations may include but not limited to: moving material within departments, moving material to and from departments, loading and unloading trucks, trash and cardboard collection, and other job duties that include use of a fork truck.
- Ability to pull material from various rack and hand pick locations and move to departments.
- Ability to move materials throughout the plant.
- Have a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to do basic transactions for material within Syteline and on RF barcode guns.
- Must understand or be willing to learn the flow of material physically and within Syteline to assist in researching inventory discrepancies.
- Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs., bend, reach and pull as necessary.
