Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
No weekends, evenings or holidays!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets patients and assists with patient flow;
- Assists with preparatory activities such as taking and documenting vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight, and communicates abnormalities to physician or practitioner;
- Assists physicians and/or practitioners with patient care including minor surgical procedures and/or general medical procedures;
- Reviews and documents patient medical history, assists with ensuring encounter forms are complete;
- Collects and prepares lab specimens;
- Electronically submit prescriptions/refills to pharmacies as directed;
- Prepares patient rooms, cleans/sterilizes instruments;
- Answer patient/pharmacy calls, take messages for physicians, relay lab/test results and instructions to patients as directed, relay hospital consult information to physicians, and other administrative duties as assigned;
- MU2/PQRS reporting as instructed;
- Follow all health care privacy and safety rules and adheres to Dayton Physicians Core Values;
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and/ or Experience:
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED and;
- Two (2) year degree from a college or technical school, and;
- Medical Assistant Certification
- One (1) year of previous experience as a Medical Assistant;
- 2-4 years’ experience is preferred.
- Current CPR certification, if not it must be obtained within 60 days of employment and kept current thereafter.
General Skill Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience working with a Practice Management system.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position to provide excellent customer service to both our internal and external stakeholders.
