Objective:
Operate a punch press machine to produce parts and tools from various materials. Responsibilities include setup, tooling adjustments, and equipment maintenance for optimal performance.
- Understand metal specifications and differences.
- Produce parts to customer specifications safely and efficiently.
- Operate pallet jack and forklift.
- Read and interpret job prints, cards, and instructions.
- Measure parts for quality using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and rulers.
- Solve problems to improve productivity and quality.
- 1 year stamping press experience (required).
- Metal stamping experience.
- Setup knowledge (preferred).
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication (turret, laser, brake press).
- Setup knowledge (preferred).
- Willingness to learn and cross-train.
- Strong communication skills.
- Team-oriented with attention to detail.
- Experience with finish grinding and measuring tools.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and apply Lean principles.
- 95% standing/moving; occasional kneeling or reaching.
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Precise hand and finger movements.
- Oil, grease, noise (up to 88 dB).
