Associate Accountant - Daytona Capital
Job Overview:
We are excited to invite an up-beat individual to join our growing team here at Daytona Capital as an Associate Accountant.
Daytona Capital is an investment company that speculates in capital and real markets, with a significant segment of The Company’s investments being in the residential real estate space. Founded in 2022, we are local to Kansas City, and headquartered in Lees Summit, and are seeking someone to join the team in its accelerating growth.
As a key member of our company, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by performing both tax and accounting/bookkeeping tasks under a CPA’s guidance across our various subsidiary companies.
Compensation:
Base Pay: $45,000/year
Discretionary Bonus: Employee also may be eligible for a bonus from time to time for his/her services during the Term. Employee’s eligibility to receive a bonus, any determination to award Employee such a bonus and, if awarded, the amount thereof shall be in Employer’s sole discretion.
Benefits: During the employment period term, the employer shall be entitled to participate in any employee benefit plan that the Company has adopted or may adopt, maintain or contribute to for the benefit of its employees generally, subject to satisfying the applicable eligibility requirements, and except to the extent such plans are duplicative of the benefits otherwise provided hereunder. The Employee’s participation will be subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and generally applicable Company policies. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company may modify or terminate any employee benefit plan at any time.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily entries in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets
- Assist with other administrative/data entry needs of the firm
- Work 40 hours a week (Hybrid remote/ in office)
- Conduct weekly meetings with The Company’s CPA firm The Company’s Partners to insure all financial statements are current and balanced, and assist with tax filings
- Assist with Accounts Payable and fulfilling purchase orders
Qualifications:
- High level of comfort using Excel and other Microsoft products
- Experience working in an office setting & meeting ongoing deadlines
- Experience working in a team environment to complete projects
- Prior accounting, bookkeeping, and/or finance experience is preferred
- QuickBooks Online experience is preferred
- Genuinely enjoys learning, researching, troubleshooting
- Personality is a unique mix of detail-oriented and sociable
- Likes to work in a collaborative setting
- Experience working for a small business is a plus!
Working Conditions:
This role is flexible in terms of location. Initial training will be on site along with an on site office, but hybrid work will be allowed on a case by case basis.

Experience level:
- Prior professional experience preferred (Small business is a plus)
- Prior accounting, bookkeeping, and/or finance experience is preferred
