Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Four (4) years of related work experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises assigned personnel including training, assigning, and evaluating work, and counseling.
- Responds to inquires and/or concerns from students, staff, or the public to solve problems or discrepancies. Works with Judicial Affairs and Student Services to prevent and mediate student code of conduct violations and other violations, sometimes criminal or civil. Works with Judicial Affairs and conducts student conduct awareness meetings.
- Collaborates with different departments and support activities of benefits to entire campus.
- Prepares and maintains budgets and various reports, records, and/or programs. Works with Technology specialist to ensure proper access control, digital recording equipment, alarm systems and other devices.
- Responds to incidents, investigates, and reports as needed, assists local police and fire response. In the absence of the Director, assumes full departmental responsibility. Responds to incidents requiring supervision at all times and all sites, sometimes when requested by law enforcement or fire services, and occasionally through HR or Senior Administration.
- Attends or conducts staff meetings to exchange information; attends in-service training and classes, seminars, or conferences to improve professional skills.
- Reviews and evaluates information and activities to ensure completion of assignments or make recommendation for improvement.
- Oversees all phases of payroll, annual leave and sick request, worker’s compensation and associated report and mandates.
- Participates in Critical Incident Management activities and trainings for all hazards.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and be flexible to meet the demands of the College.
- The candidate must have knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- This position requires excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- The candidate must be able to function effectively in a team environment and can grasp concepts quickly.
