Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree
- Two (2) years of related experience

Key Responsibilities :
Counsels students, parents, and faculty on available financial aid programs and accompanying regulations; assists students with application for financial aid.Determines financial aid eligibility (including verification), and awards financial aid in compliance with all federal, state and institutional guidelines.Maintain an updated working knowledge of all federal, state, and institutional rules / regulations pertaining to Financial Aid programs.Maintains record system, gathers and maintains data / information to support periodic and special reports documenting activities for area of responsibility.Work extended hours during peak registration periods as needed and be available a other times during the year as deemed necessary by the Dean.Conduct Financial Aid nights and group presentations when needed.Performs routine office tasks such as data entry, typing correspondence, filing, faxing, telephoning, and photocopying.Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
Knowledge of financial aid programs, policies, and procedures.Commitment to the principles of access and providing the best customer service and student support experience to families.Ability to effectively communicate with students and College personnel.Ability to maintain good working relationships with students, parents and coworkers.Ability to organize work and handle multiple responsibilities.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Possess computer skills and have knowledge of software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPointThis position requires a criminal background screening.
