Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Four (4) years of supervisory experience in a related field
- Must have own transportation to report to other College locations as assigned
- Must be forklift certified within one (1) year of employment
Preferred Qualifications :
Journeyman Electrician and / or Master Electrician LicenseEight (8) years of recent and verifiable commercial / related experienceKey Responsibilities :
Supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of building electrical systems and generators. This includes low and medium voltage power systems, controls, interior and exterior lighting, sports lighting, and installation of electrical circuits, conduits, and panels.Answers requests via the work order manager application. Coordinates work with other departments and subcontractors. Works with, and advises Planning team on large projects to include high voltage upgrades, new building drawings, etc. Assigns work orders to appropriate staff.Supervises staff and contractors that maintain, repair, and install campus fire and security alarm systems. Schedule annual fire alarm inspections for all campus locations.Maintains inventory of supplies and parts and requests additional items as necessary per job project. Provide quotes and estimates for future projects as needed.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
Knowledge of electrical systemsAbility to multi-task and have a high level of organizational skillsAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingRequired to lift between 20 to 50 pounds on a recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds on an occasional basisWill work indoors and outdoors and exposed to associated temperaturesComputer knowledge to be able to view other personnel related information (i.e. paycheck, W-2, etc.)Veteran's Preference Information :
