Location : Gaines, PA
Job Type : Full-Time (Seasonal Hours)
May–October : 60 hours per week (Salaried, no overtime pay)
- November–April : 20 hours per week
- Weekends Required During Peak Season
- Flexible schedule but typically in-office 9-5
Compensation & Benefits :
Base Salary : $45,000 per year
Bonus Structure : Year-end bonus based on exceeding 18 weddings per year or increasing ticket sales at eventsHealth & Dental InsuranceUp to One Week Paid Time Off (PTO)90-Day Probationary Period : Paid hourly before transitioning to salaryAbout the Role :
We are seeking a highly organized and creative Event / Venue Manager to oversee and coordinate events at Creek Side Barn on Pine Creek and Crooked Creek Campground . This role is responsible for managing weddings and private events at the barn, as well as planning and executing festivals, concerts, and other large-scale events at the campground. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, marketing, vendor coordination, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee all event logistics, from initial inquiries to execution.Act as the primary point of contact for wedding and event clients at Creek Side Barn.Plan and coordinate large-scale events, including music festivals, community gatherings, and specialty weekends at Crooked Creek Campground.Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote venue rentals and campground events.Manage social media accounts, advertisements, and email campaigns.Coordinate with vendors, caterers, musicians, and other event service providers.Ensure a seamless guest experience by managing staff, timelines, and event details.Oversee event setup, breakdown, and overall venue appearance.Maintain event budgets, contracts, and client communications.Handle inquiries, bookings, and customer service issues professionally.Collaborate with the owner to develop new event concepts and partnerships within the community.Manage seasonal employees as needed.Qualifications & Skills :
Experience : 3 years in event planning, venue management, hospitality, or a related field preferred.Marketing & Promotion : Strong skills in social media, digital marketing, and event promotion.Organization & Time Management : Ability to handle multiple events and tasks efficiently.Customer Service : Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication skills.Problem-Solving : Ability to think quickly and handle unexpected challenges.Tech-Savvy : General computer proficiency; experience with event management software is a plus. No experience with Newbook required—it is intuitive, and training will be provided.Graphic Design : Some proficiency in Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools is helpful.Physical Requirements : Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical labor for event setup (e.g., lifting tables, moving chairs).Dress Code for Events :
Business Casual Attire : Black or neutral-colored collared shirts, blouses, or polos.Bottoms : Black or khaki dress pants (no jeans, leggings, or shorts).Footwear : Closed-toe shoes for safety during event setup.Professional Accessories : Minimal or professional appearance (no distracting logos or patterns).Outdoor Setup Days : Company-branded or solid-colored polo or t-shirt, durable black or khaki work pants, and comfortable slip-resistant shoes or boots.
