DB Fine Wines is a boutique retail wine shop that is seeking an ambitious Phone Sales Representative for full or part-time working hours. There is no cold calling required, we only reach out to customers that already have made purchases with our business. We are looking for an energetic and determined person who wants to join their passion for wine and the art of selling into a career with a successful and growing company.
We are searching for a diligent and passionate person that is goal oriented, driven, and enthusiastic about wine. Someone who has a background with a fine dining restaurant is preferred.
We specialize in providing wine advisor services to our customers. We search the world to find highly rated, low production artisan made wines, and then recommend them to our customers based on their palate.
We primarily sell wine to our customers all over the US by phone and email, but serve in-store shoppers as well. You must enjoy speaking with people over the phone, building relationships and sharing your knowledge of wine with them. We are looking for upbeat and positive individuals who can strike the right balance between speaking to customers about wine persuasively, while not being overbearing.
Qualifications:
- You MUST have basic wine knowledge, i.e., varietals, regions, etc.
- Previous experience selling products/services to customers by phone is highly preferred.
- Strong computer skills required for managing account data and placing orders. You must be familiar with Microsoft Office. Experience with CRM software is a plus, but not required.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
- Capable of following directions, cooperating, being dependable, and willing to learn.
- You must be internet savvy.
- Ability to work independently.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities:
Selling: Sales Reps are expected to present, promote, and sell wine by offering solid recommendations to existing and prospective customers, and achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule. This entails making phone sales presentations, sending emails, answering questions, and overcoming objections.
You will be given sales tools, pricing, and the ability to place your orders, view inventory, and account history.
You must be available to work several evenings per week until 8pm, and have the availability to work Sundays 11am - 6pm and occasional Saturdays. Working schedules may vary.
Salary:
$20.00 per hour to start. A generous commission structure will be made available to a highly motivated individual.
