- Capable of performing most major repairs with limited guidance or supervision.
- Repair equipment in the most effective manner with a focus on quality and cost control.
- Perform effective diagnostic routines that identifies root cause and determine best repair method.
- Provide mentoring and training to less experienced technicians.
- Conduct all repairs in a manner that emphasizes personal and coworker safety.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
- Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
- Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in computer based maintenance systems
- Vendor sponsored training in major vehicle components PREFERRED SKILLS.
- Minimum five years of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair WORKING CONDITIONS. This position will be required to work in a shop environment in which the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, heat and cold, and increased levels of noise, and
- Constantly positions oneself to operate, inspect, and move up to 60 pounds,
- manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis,
- detect, recognize and assess printed text and hand written documents,
