Forklift Operator - Sit Down

Role Purpose
You’ll be part of DB Schenker team that is responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.
Shift:
6:00am - 6:00pm or 6:00PM-6:00AM, rotating schedule of 2-2-3
Pay: $19.25 an hour base pay with $2 /HOUR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
- Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
- Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
- Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
- Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments
- Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time
You will also need to be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable being on your feet for periods of time
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards
What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
- Must be 18 years or older with ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
- Good interpersonal skills required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience loading and unloading trailers preferred
- Dock/warehouse experience preferred
- Sit Down Forklift experience
