Fiber Splicing Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunications. This role involves working with various hand tools and equipment to ensure the successful installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks. The Fiber Technician will play a critical role in delivering high-quality service to our clients. This is a 1099 contract job.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing and termination for various telecommunication projects.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling systems.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for network installation tasks.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure seamless connectivity and service delivery.
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and provide recommendations.
• Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in all operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project status and requirements.

Experience

• Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, or related fields is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools effectively.
• Familiarity with Ethernet technology and telecommunications principles is a plus.
• Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Ability to telecommunicate effectively for remote support when necessary.
• Knowledge of electrical systems as they pertain to fiber optic installations is beneficial.
• knowing how to spike a pole with your own equipment is a major plus.

Requirements- must have own transportation with a valid DL, must have your own hand tools, and 2 years experience .

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
